First team match report:

This was a much better workout for The Force who hosted Grand final runners up Pine Rivers at the weekend. The Force opened the scoring and kept hold of the lead for 20 minutes only to allow Rivers to draw level from a corner that should have be easily cleared by the Force defence.

The second half saw Rivers go in front with a wickedly deflected shot. All in all a very even game with The Force having enough chances to win the game. " I was more than happy with our performance, we where good enough for a draw but what was more important was the way such a young squad of players who have been together for under 2 months handled a XXXX side" said 1st Team Coach John Ogden.
The Force played the last 30 minutes with eleven players under 19 years of age." We said from the start that we are looking to put together a young squad of quality players, youth/reserves and first team that will go on to challenge for a XXXX league spot within the next few years, we have achieved nothing yet, it is very early days but with the quality of players and coaching staff already assembled things are looking pretty good "said Steve Murray. (Technical Director of coaching)
