Daniel Conner and Dean Mckillop will return to the UK on March 3rd for further trails with Colchester United, Wycombe Wanderers and Swansea City. Both lads toured with the PSA last September and played in the 3-3 draw with Colchester and the 5-2 win over Wanderers. Swansea City have expressed interest in taking a look the lads due to the success the PSA have enjoyed over the past few seasons.
Connor and Mckillop have joined the recently formed Brisbane Force where Steve Murray has been appointed Senior / Technical Director of Coaching. " I think they have a good chance to impress, they have both done well at the Force in pre season playing against men, so when they get back to the UK they should be ready for it. I will be speaking to both of them just before they fly out, basically I will be telling them that they are good enough to
get picked up however luck will play a big part. When you trail at a pro club you are being looked at to replace a player who may have been at the club for many years so it is not enough to be just as good as that player, the club need to feel that you have the potential to be a great deal better than the one you replace." said Murray.
Touring with the PSA last September has given both the lads a great deal of confidence. " I was happy to recommend Dean and Daniel for further trails as they have both shown a lot of dedication, maturity and determination. The thing that always concerns me more than anything else when recommending
players for trails is the temperament and mental attitude of the player, is he going to conduct himself in the appropriate manner? it is my reputation and the reputation of the PSA that will be brought into question if the player stuffs up" said Murray.
As Steve has already stated both players have shown a good deal of maturity so that side of things will not be an issue in the UK, whatever happens everyone involved with the PSA and Brisbane Force wish them the best of luck.
