John Paul College's  3 - 1 lac - lustre winning performance against Penninsular the previous week was cast aside as the boys in maroon and blue issued a warning to the Div. 1 front runners that JPC are a force to be reckoned with as they completley out played the early pace setters Capalaba. From the opening whistle JPC dominated possesion as they pushed forward relentlessly in search of goals. Michael McGregor was superb playing just in front of  midfield with tireless running off the ball and simple passing that frustrated the Capalaba defence. In the twelth minute Driton Xhemajlaj beat his man on the right flank and rifled a low cross into the path of McGregor who had lost his man for a simple tap in.Two minutes later leading goal scorer Young Deuk Seo [Duc]out-paced his marker to double JPC's advantage and register his seventh club goal of the season. JPC suffered a blow after 20 minutes with sweeper Beckam forced to leave the field with a foot injury that may keep him sidelined for two weeks. It made no difference to the JPC machine as they continued to pressure the Capalaba defence that was unable to deal with the teasing long balls delivered by Chul Kang [Charles] with unbelievable precision. In the sixtieth minute Duc laid the ball back for Yong Pil Yoon [Saviola] to crash home JPC's third and five minutes later a long ball from Ji Min Kim [ Terry ] found Nathan Evans who in turn set up Xhemajlaj to make it four. Capalaba did manage a consolation goal as JPC switched off to coast to a comfortable 4-1 victory putting them back in the title race. "We have had some major problems with injurys and have had to bring up under 15 players for our last 2 games and it must be said that they have not looked out of place, Brian and I have enjoyed seeing the younger lads shine " said Steve Murray
