JPC head into the Uhlsport Cup Semi final.
JPC 4 - 3 St Edmonds
Total chaos! that is the only way to describe what happen last Wednesday evening. Due to poor scheduling the match was delayed for 25 minutes which totally disrupted both teams preparation for the match. Once the match got under way JPC took control with a series of chances wasted in front of the St Edmonds goal. The JPC players began to get very
frustrated with the linesman controlling the St Edmonds half as he repeatedly flagged for off - side when it was clear to everyone that on occasions the JPC attackers had been over a meter on side. "It became almost impossible for us to play through balls as our front men would hesitate even when they where in good positions, at one point Midge flicked a great header onto Park, who at that point was 2 meters on
side only to have this comedian stick his flag up yet again" said Muzza. With 10 minutes remaining frustrations began to boil over, Duchy was sent off for what seemed a perfectly timed challenge and was closely followed with the dismissal of Steve Murray (coach) " Duchy's tackle was perfect,he was only 10 meters away from our bench, he got the ball clean and fair and gets a second yellow, what
upset me so much was the fact that the referee had already given two other ridiculous decisions against him , a penalty and a free kick on the edge of our box, both resulting in goals against us, at this point I had had enough" said Muzza. The game ended 3-3. Gus slotting home a late penalty in extra time to give JPC a well earned win. St Edmonds lost two players for straight red card offences in the
late stages of extra time. " I take my hat off to the St Edmonds lads they played well, but I am very proud of the way our boys stuck at it, to keep concentration when so many bad decisions are given against you is not easy and on the day I found it impossible" said Muzza.
