You need to know: Hunger affects people in every county across the United States. In New Jersey, nearly 1 in 5 kids faces hunger every day. In fact, more than 1 million people in our great state don’t know if they will have something to eat tonight. With over 1,000 partner charities, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey addresses the issue of hunger with food, help and hope. Last year alone, we distributed more than 43 million pounds of food thanks to the support of generous donors, volunteers and hunger-fighting advocates.
You can help by: Donating funds, food, time and your voice to the cause all impact the lives of our hungry neighbors. Volunteer at one of our warehouses, at a mobile pantry or at one of our events; start a food drive (traditional or virtual); and keep an eye out for our campaigns, like Check-Out Hunger® during the holidays at participating grocery and convenience stores. We would not be able to fight hunger in New Jersey without your support.
